Panther Overview
The HDS Panther is a new frame design that uses HiDefSpex’s exclusive light management system. The design produces an incredibly open site picture with no encroachment of the frame in the line of view. The frame uses our patented “Snap-TecTM Lenses”, a 3 snap system that attaches the shield to the frame, allowing the shooter to quickly change lenses with ease to the optimal light transmission. Due to the superior strength of our bullet-proof lens material, we have the ability to drill through the lens (without stressing or cracking the lens) to add the “Snap-Tec Lenses”.
In addition to the revolutionary lens changing system, the HDS Panther has implemented fully adjustable temple arms to provide the optimal fit for a shooter’s head size. The temple arms may be adjusted over 20mm in 5 secure positions. The HDS Panther uses our exclusive and patented “Ratch-TecTM” system of ball bearings to secure the adjustment of the temple arm. In addition, the Panther uses the same “Ratch-TecTM” system to provide an adjustable nose bridge.

Panther Configurations
The HDS Panther is available in 3 different configurations:
- a base version with adjustable temple arms
- a version with adjustable temple arms and an adjustable nose bridge
- The adjustable nose bridge has 5 positions of adjustment achieving a maximum of 10mm of lift from the base position
- a version for the prescription wearer with an Rx insert that has both the temple arm and nose bridge adjustment built into the frame design
Panther Rx
For prescription lens wearers, the Panther is an impressive design. We have positioned a large prescription lens directly in front of the eye, behind the shield, to provide the shooter with full vision and utilization of the HDS light management system. Over time, as your prescription changes, you need only to replace the lens insert without having to invest in multiple Rx lenses.
Panther Lenses
The Panther comes with 3 interchangeable shields. The HiDefSpex Light Management System is used as the foundation of the design. The Panther comes as a kit with the following lenses:
- The HDS 15% LTM – Optimized for Bright Sun
- The HDS 25% LTM – Optimized for Cloudy Conditions
- The HDS 40% LTM – Optimized for Low Light
- The HDS 40% LTM comes with our Hydrophobic Coating on the exterior of the shield that sheets water in rainy conditions.
